WILDEN gaskets and O-rings: identify the right sealing part

Identify WILDEN gaskets and O-rings by location, full part number and material, with examples from the parts catalogue.

WILDEN 02-3500-52-110

Locate the seal before selecting the material

The phrase WILDEN sealing ring can refer to components in different parts of a pump. Begin with the seal’s position in the exploded view: wetted path, air valve, pilot system or another assembly. Record the drawing item number beside the complete spare-part number. A photograph without that location can leave several plausible matches.

Similar descriptions can identify different parts

Reference Component description Identification lesson
01-1200-55 PTFE wetted-path O-ring. Record its wet-side location and the applicable parts list.
01-3220-55 PTFE air-valve O-ring. The material label matches the first example, but the component function differs.
02-3500-52-110 Buna muffler-plate gasket listed in the WILLEE catalogue. A shaped gasket must be identified as its own component.

The examples illustrate identification differences; they are not interchangeable alternatives. Confirm fitment for the complete installed model before ordering. Keep the full suffix because shortened numbers can hide a different component specification.

Build a useful seal record

  • Pump model, serial information where available and nameplate photograph.
  • Manual revision, exploded-view location and complete component number.
  • Material designation and any encapsulated or composite construction.
  • Quantity required for one repair and the number of pumps being serviced.
  • Photographs of the cleaned old part and its installation location.

Dimensions can support an identification check, but a worn or deformed sample should not become the sole purchasing specification. Record whether a measurement came from a used sample or an approved drawing. Do not infer material solely from colour.

Review process and cleaning exposure

For a wetted seal, supply the process liquid, concentration and temperatures, including the cleaning stage. For an air-side component, identify the air-system assembly and documented material. Avoid choosing a substitute just because it shares the same polymer name or appears to fit the groove.

Our wetted-material review guide helps organize the broader process check. Assembly orientation, lubrication and tightening instructions belong to the applicable manufacturer manual.

Individual seal or repair kit?

Compare the inspected component list with the proposed kit before purchasing both. Some seals may already be included, while others require separate ordering. The WILDEN Air Kit and Wet Kit guide and the manufacturer repair-kits flyer explain the distinction between air-side and wet-side repair scope.
