A sanitary-line accessory with its own configuration
The WILDEN Equalizer Saniflo Hygienic Series surge dampener is an accessory for reducing discharge pressure fluctuations from an air-operated double-diaphragm pump. It has its own designation, diaphragm and parts list. Record the dampener separately from the connected Saniflo pump so future maintenance requests identify the correct equipment.
For the system-level decision, start with our pulsation dampener selection guide. This page focuses on the Saniflo HS family and the details to confirm before requesting it.
Manufacturer-listed family features
| Item | Saniflo HS family information |
|---|---|
| Process connections | Tri-Clamp sizes of 38 mm, 51 mm and 76 mm. |
| Wetted construction | 316L stainless steel. |
| Operating principle | Automatic adjustment to changes in system pressure. |
| Hygienic design | Manufacturer-described clean-in-place capability and a drainable liquid chamber. |
These describe the product family. They do not establish the supplied unit’s compliance, pressure rating or suitability for a specific cleaning procedure. Confirm the full configuration and required documentation for the order.
Use the dampener designation and manual together
The Saniflo HS surge dampener manual, WIL-12230-E-04, covers XSD1-1/2 HS, XSD2 HS and XSD3 HS. Its designation section distinguishes inlet size, wetted parts and outer piston, air chamber, regulator body, diaphragm and specialty code.
For an existing unit, send a clear identification photograph and retain its complete code. For a new installation, ask for the proposed code and matching manual before accepting a quotation. The connected pump’s model number alone cannot specify the accessory.
Review the transfer and the cleaning cycle
- State the downstream problem: filling consistency, pressure variation or another measurable requirement.
- Provide the normal flow range, operating pressure and liquid temperature.
- Describe the product, viscosity and any solids or delicate ingredients.
- Provide the cleaning medium, concentration, temperature and cleaning method.
- Confirm the sanitary connection details, available installation space and required documents.
Agree on a before-and-after check under comparable operating conditions. Installation, air connection, isolation and maintenance must follow the exact manual. Adding a dampener does not increase the pressure rating of the pump or the surrounding pipework.
